In John’s Gospel Jesus tells Nicodemus “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”.  Christ goes on in that passage to explain some of the characteristics of being born again. Additionally, John, who records the conversation in his gospel, writes more extensively about the evidences of a life born from above, in his first epistle. Today, with so much confusion about what it means to be truly “Born Again” we need a Biblical definition of the term… that is the subject of today’s program.

On today’s program we continued our discussion from yesterday re: “Assurance of Salvation”. Our focus today however, centered on the evidences flowing from and following salvation.  Our text found in I John 2:3-6 instructs us “hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments”.

On today’s program we discussed the Present Session of Christ (Christ seated at the right hand of God).  During the conversation we discussed the implication of the terminology used in Scripture to describe Christ’s continuing ministry in heaven.

On today’s program we discussed the doctrine of the Ascension of Christ.  During our discussion we noted that the Ascension of Christ speaks to us of God the Father’s exaltation of Christ as a reward for Christ accomplishing the work of redemption.
