Crisis Pregnancy Centers recently made the cover of TIME Magazine. In Ashville NC, “The pregnancy-center clinic, with its new ultrasound machine, has been open only since December, but already the staff can count the women who came in considering an abortion and changed their minds: five women converted, six lives saved, they declare, since one was carrying twins. ‘They connected,’ nurse Joyce Wilson says, recalling the reaction of the women who saw the filmy image of their fetus onscreen. ‘They bonded. You could just see it. One girl got off the table and said, ‘That's my baby.’ ‘Another got up," says Deborah Wood, ‘and said, ‘This changes everything.’” These women had come face to face with, a moment of truth, as have we.

We can praise God for new technology to fight the culture war at this grassroots level. Now, the 1/3 of all American women who have abortions by age 45 can make a more informed decision. Of course, pro-choice groups say the moral agenda discredits these centers. But, the truth is that we all have an agenda and since when did the prevention of murder become a hostile agenda?

Further, Pro-choice groups are now arguing that Crisis Pregnancy Centers don’t point out the risk of death during child birth. Are we obligated to do such? Talk about framing debate in the culture war: kill someone else because a natural process might lead to death.

Crisis Pregnancy Centers are a sign of maturity in the anti-abortion fight. They will come under further attack. Let’s pray, support, and provide legislative cover. Issues of life and liberty are at stake here.
