Live from the SBC

On today’s “Calling For Truth” Radio Program we will be speaking with Dr. Tom Ascol. Tom is currently attending the Southern Baptist Convention in San Antonia, TX. As the Executive Director of Founders Ministries, Tom will also be hosting events related to Founders Ministries during this year’s convention.

One such event is the 2007 Founders Fellowship Breakfast. This year the guest speaker is Voddie Baucham - popular Conference Speaker (he recently spoke at John Piper’s Desiring God Conference), Bible Teacher, Professor and Pastor of Preaching for Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring TX. The topic for Professor Baucham’s presentation at the breakfast is “Southern Baptists at Sardis”.

Dr. Ascol will join us shortly after the breakfast. He will be providing us with an update from the SBC, a brief summary of Voddie Baucham presentation and he will also elaborate on a special announcement that he intents to announce at the Founders Breakfast this morning. Here is a statement written yesterday on the Founder Blog (www.Founders.org), “Tomorrow, at the Founders Fellowship Breakfast, I plan to make a major announcement that will be of great interest to the readers of this blog and all who care about the health and direction of the Southern Baptist Convention.”
