Genesis—The Key to Reclaiming the Culture
![]() Less than two months after opening its doors to the public, the Creation Museum hosted its 100,000th guest this past weekend—a milestone not expected for months to come and a sign, museum officials say, of the continuing popularity of the critically acclaimed high-tech facility.
On today’s Calling For Truth Radio Program our special guest will be Ken Ham, the President and CEO of Answers in Genesis. Ken is also a well known Author and Conference Speaker. Ken’s emphasis is on the relevance and authority of the book of Genesis to the life of the average Christian, and how compromise on Genesis has opened a dangerous door regarding how the culture and church view biblical authority.
Some of Ken’s lecture titles include:
Since its inception the Creation Museum has been under attack from various pro-evolution groups. One such group is DEFCON (the name stands for a campaign to defend the Constitution, however their web site states that they are an “online grassroots movement combating the growing power of the religious right”).
Here is a portion of a press release from the DEFCON web site:
“This Memorial Day weekend, the religious right will take a bold new step in their campaign against science education in America. The creationist organization, Answers in Genesis, will open their $27 million "Creation Museum" in Petersburg, Kentucky, dedicated to promoting the falsehood that science supports the notion of a 6,000 year old Earth.
From denying the facts of evolution to lying about the known age of the universe, the "museum" represents an assault on our children’s basic understanding of fundamental scientific principles. The Campaign to Defend the Constitution (DefCon) calls on all educators -- teachers, professors and administrators -- to take a stand against this latest attack on science education. If you are an educator, please sign the petition below to voice your opposition to the religious right's campaign of ignorance.” On today’s program, we will ask Ken Ham to give us a virtual tour of the Creation Museum and to address some of the statements made by the museums critics.
