The Importance of the Local Church
Does church attendance matter? With so many other choice provided via technology today (TV, DVD’s, Internet, Podcasts, etc.) is it really necessary to actually attend the local church service?
The fact is the average church attendee would probably hear a better sermon from one of the resources mentioned above than he will hear in his local church, so doesn’t it make sense that he would be better off listen to one of these resources rather than putting forth the additional effort of actually attending a service?
This modern way of thinking about church attendance is not only be acknowledged by some Christian leaders it is being advocated by some (like George Barna in his book Revolution).
On today’s edition of the “Calling For Truth” Radio Program, we will discuss this issue from the aspect of looking at The Importance of the Local Church.
Specifically, we will look at the Hebrews 10:24,25 "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
