We talk a lot about the postmodern culture into which we’ve been dropped. Focus may be given to the factors that have brought this cultural milieu about and/or the factors that have led to the unseating of the biblical Christ in the minds of those in this culture, or focus may be given to any number of other concerns Christians should understand in order to impact this amalgam of people for God’s glory and their good.
At the same time, in the aftermath of our understanding, it may be that affirming God’s goodness is part of the solution in reeling in this breakaway amalgam of people we call American Culture. God’s goodness is always on display if we have eyes to see. Foundationally, God’s goodness is behind the beginning: creation itself. If we can affirm God’s goodness in such a dynamic, and indeed in subsequent related dynamics including the creation of man, the dominion mandate, the ethic of work, and the sanctity of marriage, we can be part of that goodness on display as we seek to live as products of that goodness before a wondering and wandering world.
On today’s edition of “Calling for Truth,” we will discuss some worldview implications connected to God’s goodness as we seek to engage this culture with the gospel of Christ in more ways than one.
