The Bruised Reed
On today’s “Calling For Truth” Radio Program, we will interview Internet Blogger Timmy Brister. Earlier this year Timmy started what is now called “The 2008 Puritan Reading Challenge” – a call for fellow believers to commit to reading one Puritan Paperback each month.
In addition to just reading the book, Timmy then committed to opening up a blog thread about the selected book each month – enabling those that are in the reading challenge the opportunity to comment about the book’s content. During the month Timmy also compiled information about that Puritan author… in this first instance, Richard Sibbs.
Here’s where “Calling For Truth” comes in… towards the end of each month throughout 2008, we will have Timmy Brister as a guest on the program to discuss the content of that month’s Puritan Paperback. Additionally, we are inviting all those who are participating in the “Reading Challenge” to call in a comment as well.
The outline for today’s program will be, to learn a bit about Timmy Brister and why he started this challenge, to learn a bit about the author, Richard Sibbs and then to delve into a conversation about the content of the book itself.
