Today we have an opportunity to be thankful. We can thank God for civil rest with a clear winner in the presidential election, and we can also thank God for a clear opportunity to speak to the church. It is time to wake up! We must not look to Washington for answers. We must look to the only One who is the answer, and in so doing proclaim the real message of hope and change to a hurting world. Specifically, with Democrat control of Congress and the presidency, public policy issues will be judged on their merits; they won’t have President Bush to kick around anymore. The church will be in a unique position to point the way forward in Christ.
